Microplane Synthetic Rubber Kitchen & Dining

In 1990 the original Microplane was invented merely as a new type of woodworking tool. 4 years on, a homemaker in Canada was making an Armenian orange cake, and out of frustration with her old grater, she picked up the woodworking tool, slid the orange across its blades and was amazed at how the zest fell from the surface like snowflakes.

Microplane as we now know it is a complete range of kitchen graters for every type of grating possible. Microplane graters' tiny razor-like edges are formed by a patented chemical process called photo-etching in which holes are dissolved with a chemical, leaving edges that finely slice the food instead of tearing or shredding.

What Our Customers Say

"Thanks very much for the great service - I was very impressed with the time lapse from when I ordered the Rhubarb bowls for my daughter in law for christmas to the time they arrived and very securely packed. I will definitely be looking to do more shopping with Le Domaine. Thankyou very much Elizabeth" Elizabeth Sneesby, NSW
