Designed to aerate your wine and separate out sediment, the process of emptying a bottle of wine into the carafe introduces lots of air, and the reservoir opens up wine for aeration. With a beautifully angled rim and relatively straight, unadorned sides, the Royal Doulton carafe is easy to pour at the table.

For aeration and removing sediment, the use of a decanter or carafe is especially suited to full bodied reds. However, for convenience and presentation, any wine is suitable and will not be degraded by use of a decanter.
