Who is the Eclectic Chef?

No, we are not real chefs. And we don’t own restaurants. We are merely fascinated by food and cooking, so much that we couldn’t bear not making a website and sharing it with the whole world. In fact, we thought that if we could gather enough knowledge and DIY material on this website, we could make everyone a chef – one who brings the best of everything together in the abundant world of food and cooking – The Eclectic Chef.

So, what’s cooking?

The Eclectic Chef is an online hub for food enthusiasts to write, share and enjoy their knowledge with each other – what’s the best way to sear a steak, how does nonstick cookware compare with stainless cookware, where can you find the best Asian peking duck in town, or even tips on healthier eating. Think of our community as a casserole of cooking resources, bringing together the ingredients of knowledge and visuals from all ethnic backgrounds, cooking cultures, gustatory experiences and olfactory delights.

And, the real chefs cooking all this up behind the scenes?

The Eclectic Chef is started by the owners of Le Domaine, an Australian online premier retailer of cookware, kitchenware, bakeware and kitchen appliances. With a vision to bring the highest quality cookware and kitchen apparatus to every household in Australia, we have done all we can to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience for cookware and kitchen lovers. Through The Eclectic Chef, we hope to spread the education about cookware, food and cooking, so that we can all learn to better take care of wellbeing (and our kitchen!), and appreciate the blessed gift of food.
