A tajine, or tagine, is a versatile Moroccan terra cotta oven. There are a whole slew of incredible Moroccan dishes, Indian dishes, desserts, slow cooked roasts, stews, vegetarian dishes and other amazing meals that you can make with a tajine - often only with a tajine! The All-Clad Tajine has a glazed terra cotta cover, which acts as a "closed chimney", sealing in heat, steam, moisture and flavours for exceptional slow cooking results. The base is All-Clad's 3-ply bonded construction, consisting of induction compatible stainless steel, aluminium for heat conductivity, and 18/10 stainless steel for the interior surface, which browns food perfectly and doesn't impart a metallic flavour to food.
Traditionally used on an open fire, the All-Clad Tajine can be used on a gas or electric hotplate (including induction), or in your oven. The tajine has two high-clearance handles, for easily and safely moving the dish from the cooktop to the oven or the table. The handles are connected to the base, so take the tajine to the table, lift off the top for a big reveal, and easily transport the open dish as needed.
