All-Clad Stainless Steel Steel Dutch Oven with lid - Silver
About The Brand

Anyone with an appreciation for quality cookware will tell you that All-Clad Cookware is the best of the best. Born of the steel age in 1960, All-Clad Metalcrafters found its roots in a small metallurgical company that specialized in formulating bonded metals for a variety of industries. In 1971, company founder John Ulam began producing professional-quality cookware for working chefs and gourmet home cooks, and the brand slowly emerged as early adopters in the professional community realized the extraordinary qualities, striking aesthetics and exemplary cooking performance of this revolutionary cookware.

Product Details

Dutch ovens hail from American pioneer times, when early explorers needed a pot that would do everything on the campfire. Use them open to fry and stir fry on the large, flat base, or put the lid on to seal heat inside for braises, roasts and even baking!

The All-Clad Dutch Oven is made from a bonded aluminium and stainless steel construction, which conducts heat evenly all around the oven. Whether you use your Dutch Oven on the stovetop or in the oven, it's designed to keep heat inside for amazing slow roasts, braises, pot roasts and stews. As an open stovetop pot, the All-Clad Dutch Oven is roomy enough to accommodate large quantities of soups, pasta and casseroles. It's such a multi-purpose piece of cookware that you will find yourself relying on almost entirely.

Considering the beauty of All-Clad's hand polished, mirror finished stainless steel cookware, you'll be surprised how flexible and resilient it is. All-Clad's roots are in the early days of American metallurgy, first creating the metal bonding process that gives the resulting material a combination of the properties of the constituent metals. In this case, All-Clad bond 18/10 stainless steel with aluminium to give the cookware the heat conductive properties of aluminium - through the entire construction, not just the base - and the strength, durability and beauty of 18/10 stainless steel.

The aluminium core of All-Clad Stainless Steel cookware gives even and efficient heat conductivity, where unaltered stainless steel can produce hot spots and cold spots. It negates the heat conduction issues of heavy, high quality cookware, so you can boil water quickly, control a long simmer, sear meat on high heat or reduce a sauce at a low but constant heat. The lids of All-Clad cookware are 18/10 stainless steel with proper handles, and are precisely made to lock in with the rim to keep heat and seam inside. The handles of All-Clad cookware are also stainless steel, and with special corrosion resistant rivets that don't get loose with age.

All-Clad have come a long way since the innovative metallurgists of the American steel age, and when you own All-Clad cookware you own part of a history of craftsmanship. All-Clad cookware is still made in America by American artisans, with very strict specifications for the chemical composition and makeup of the materials going into your cookware. At each stage of the manufacturing process products are hand inspected for any flaws, because the materials being used are chosen for their suitability for cooking and not so much for ease of manufacturing. The result is no-compromise, high quality cookware with integrity, longevity and, most of all, enjoyable and flawless performance every day.
